Pre-Tan Recommendations:
- Exfoliate, shave, and/or wax the day before your scheduled session.
- Do not wear body lotion, perfume, deodorant, or makeup.
After Your Spray Tan:
- Do not shower or bathe for at least 8-10 hours.
- Do not use soap or wash your hair for the first shower or bath.
- You will notice cosmetic bronzer wash off—this is normal, and your tan is still developing underneath.
Maintenance:
- Avoid swimming pools or hot tubs to prevent color from prematurely fading.
- Moisturize daily with spray tan-friendly lotions (we carry Norvell spray tan moisturizers).
- Avoid bar soaps and exfoliators, as they will strip and fade your tan.

After Your Spray Tan
AFTER YOUR SPRAY TAN:
- Do NOT shower or bathe for at least 8–10 hours after your Spray Tan.
- If you must, only rinse with water and no soap, as it will remove the solution and reduce the darkness of your tan (and possibly create uneven color).
- When you do shower, you will see some color washing off. That is the cosmetic bronzer in the solution. Your actual tan is underneath and still developing.
MAINTENANCE:
- Moisturize daily with a good-quality moisturizer to keep your tan looking good and lasting as long as possible.
- Avoid sweating—it may cause streaking or running of the bronzer.
- Avoid swimming pools or hot tubs (chlorine can prematurely fade the tan).
- Avoid bar soaps and exfoliators, as they strip and fade your tan quickly.
- Use a pH-balanced body wash for best results.

BEFORE YOUR SPRAY TAN:
- Exfoliate the day before or the morning of your session to remove dead skin cells and provide a fresh surface for the solution.
- Shave or wax the day before your session.
DAY OF YOUR SPRAY TAN:
- Do NOT wear body lotion, perfume, deodorant, or makeup (they act as a barrier).
- Remove jewelry.
- You may wear a swimsuit or underwear during your session (darker colors recommended).
- The session takes about 10 minutes; drying time is about the same.
- Wear loose-fitting, dark clothing afterward, as the solution is still being absorbed and may rub off slightly.
